How did Halloween celebrated in France

Halloween accordingly was originated from the British Isle a celebration of Samhai. It is believe that during this day, the spirits arouse from the dead and mingled with the living human being. The Celts folks left foods at their doors to allure the good spirits while wearing horrible mask to throw off or scare the bad spirits. When the Romans came to France to occupy the country, they added some spices of the Celtic’s tradition which is commemorating the end of harvest and honoring the dead. After centuries came, the Roman Catholic church launched November 01 as the All Saints Day in remembering and celebrating of the saints who do not have their own holy days.
Although Halloween is not a traditional French holiday, still this season has been celebrated in the country for a year. Halloween in France is not that popular in the country until they heard it from their neighborhood countries which fondly celebrate the holiday wearing horrible masks. Until such time that the French people realized the importance and of Halloween and adopted it as part of their yearly celebration aside from their traditional events. And in fact, during the year of 1982; the American Dream bar/restaurant located in Paris started celebrating the Halloween; the French customers awed with the celebration and became more familiar with the event, making them to adopt more the event. There are actually many prominent figures that tries to tell everybody that they are the ones who made Halloween popular in France, but what is important that Halloween has been widely celebrated not only in other countries but as well as with France.
How then the French people celebrated Halloween? Well then, they dramatically wear horrible masks, celebrating it with their friends in some of the disco pubs, homes, parties and more. They did not only wear scary masks at all, some of the famous cartoon characters or Walt Disney characters are also known as the costumes of the Halloween party goers. Halloween in France is commemorated with the all age level, including children, teenagers and adults. They can freely choose whatever costumes they like to wear or whatever masks; while there are some of the kids as well as adults who have a unique magnificent costumes still related with the Halloween theme. France’s establishments also decorated Halloween decorations outside and outside their buildings. Super stores, malls and even houses decorated Halloween decorations to sympathize with the celebration.
It is obvious for the supermarkets, malls or any forms of department stores that they also commemorated the event because most of the goods they sell have the design of traditional Halloween format. It has been said that Halloween celebration in France is controversial due to the fact that the event is not totally significant to them, but despite of that some of the folks in France enjoys the event and even makes the celebration to the fullest. Some did not know the true meaning of Halloween which makes them ignore the celebration and instead focusing on their present work. But as mentioned earlier, the most important to remember that France doesn’t left behind and still updated with regards to Halloween matters.
